Invisible Invaders is the 1959 sci-fi film. Dr. Karol Noymann is dead, however an alien takes over his body. He goes to his friend, Dr. Adam Penner’s house, and tells him that the invisible aliens plan to invade Earth by inhabiting the bodies of the dead. Dr. Penner isn’t able to convince the public that he’s telling the truth. It’s only after the aliens invade that they believe him. Although humanity puts up a valiant fight, they are unable to beat the invaders. Dr. Penner and a team race against time to invent a weapon to defeat them. Will they succeed?
The movie doesn’t hesitate in getting right into the action. As a result, the film never drags or gets boring. Though the narration does assume that the viewers are not too bright. The plot is an interesting mix of horror and sci-fi as the aliens have to use dead corpses in order to communicate with the humans. It’s interesting to see how the group finds the solution to the invasion, although the Aesop at the end feels tacked on. Honolulu B-movie fans should watch this movie.
