Heard the buzz about the Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour show in Philadelphia? There’s another opportunity to catch the show at the Wells Fargo Center tonight, March 26, and this weekend there are two more chances in Trenton.
Combining music, visuals, dance, and artistry, Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour is an exciting production presented in a rock concert format that combines innovation of Michael Jackson’s music and choreography with Cirque du Soleil creativity. Those expecting traditional Cirque shows like in Las Vegas or other touring productions should know this show is more dancing and music, than acrobats and stunt artists. The show is appearing both Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29 at the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton.
A nice treat is the live band including some of the same artists who previously worked side by side with Jackson enhances the authenticity of the show.
Jackson’s musical repertoire is highlighted throughout the two hour show which has a 20-minute intermission. The ballads offer well-choreographed dancing and arial entertainment, while the more instrumental classics are brought to life with live musicians, dancers, and visual artists whom are all well-cast in their craft. There is a large screen which projects images of Jackson’s early years as well as memorable video appearances.
Fans of Jackson will appreciate the reminder of his talent and genius, while younger fans will enjoy the music, theatrics, cool scenery and jamming muscians on guitars and drums. The concert design with the addition of enchanting performers from the Cirque du Soleil brand makes The Immortal show worth catching this weekend.
