In a world where Marvel, Image and DC rule the comic industry it’s always nice to see something new and original come along. There are tons of independent publishers, but not a lot putting out stuff that people really care about. Trauma Comics is one of those publishers deliver something new and different to the industry with titles like Kung Fu Satanist and now an all-new issue of Nazi Werewolves From Outer Space.
If you sadly missed out on the first issue in the series the name pretty much says it all as the Earth is invaded by Nazi Werewolves From Outer Space. Just like the previous issue this plays just like a drive in grindhouse movie and continues to just get right in on the action as opposed to a lot of unnecessary nonsense. The first book delivered right up to the last page with the big reveal of the Gorilla Hitler no doubt leaving readers on edge ready for more. Not only does this issue continue the crazy story from the first issue, but steps things up a bit and gets deeper into the story, which in turn just adds to the overall craziness of this fun book. The same creative team of Dean Juliette, Simon Sanchez, and Don Marquez and it works better than ever. Obviously the story is strong and fun, but still simple, but adds to that the awesome artwork and you have a book that rivals pretty much anything on the shelves from the big three. As if this book wasn’t already cool enough see if you can spot the brilliantly placed Twilight Zone reference.
This is one of those books that will suck you in from title alone, but delivers the goods to back it up as well. This book makes a great blood soaked read that is sure to please any werewolf or Nazi fans out there and let’s be honest we all know those two things work perfectly together. The only bad thing about this issue is having to wait for issue 3.
