During the holidays here in New York, there are many ways to participate in wonderful holiday events and activities. Join me as I enjoy NY during Christmas. Four events that you must attend are:
- New York's Christmas Tree - The annual lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree marks the beginning of the holiday season for many New York City visitors and residents. The lighting ceremony begins at 7:00PM tonight. Rockefeller Center is located between 47th and 50th Streets and 5th and 7th Avenues.
- "Sisteract"- Critics and viewers alike are raving about this fantatic broadway production. The cast is beyond extraordinary. You will enjoy this version made famous by the orignal movie with Whoopi Goldberg.
- Radio City Christmas Spectacular: If you are visiting New York City or just a resident looking for a good show, this season's christmas spectacular is to delight and amaze you with new and cool innovcations. According to Radio City, 2011 marks the 79th year of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular® starring the world-famous Radio City Rockettes™. The New 2011 Radio City Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall features a New 3DLive scene, DAZZLING SPECIAL EFFECTS, NEW ROCKETTE™ NUMBERS, and BELOVED FAVORITES, like the Parade of the Wooden Soldiers and the Living Nativity. The average price of a ticket is $55-75 per person.
- Macys: As you walk through New York, be sure to visit the the leading department store, Macy's. They have some of the best store front displays for christmas. As you peak inside, you will find other seasonal delights including some good shopping deals. You may even spot a "Celebrity Shopper"!
