Hosted by Chef Todd Gray of Equinox, as well as his charming wife Ellen Gray, the brunch buffet at Muse Cafe is a fabulous culinary experience for vegans and non-vegans alike.
The brunch takes place every Sunday in the gorgeous atrium of the one of DC’s most famous and popular art museums, The Corcoran. There is live music, friendly service, the most beautiful décor, and most importantly, delicious food. Tofu scrambled eggs, vegan French toast, pancakes with compote, and skillet potatoes are just some of the many items featured by Chef Gray. The menu changes every week but the dishes go beyond typical brunch fare. You can expect seasonal items such as fresh salads, risotto, panzanella, and gazpacho. International items like pasta, tempura, mini burritos, and croquettes have all made appearances as well. Chef Gray’s creatively is abundantly apparent, especially when he makes things like vegan deviled eggs.
Dessert is included in the buffet; you can sample cookies, brownies, fruit bars, crumbles, and more.
This is a great place to go with friends and family, even if everyone is not vegan. The setting is relaxed and casual, and the food is flavorful, satisfying, and innovative. The brunch is available for $30 per person which includes part of the cost of the entrance ticket to the museum, so you can enjoy all of the artwork the Corcoran has to offer. Mimosas and Bloody Marys, as well as other alcoholic beverages, are available for an additional cost.
