If you have the time and patience, thrift stores, consignment shops and second hand stores where things are recycled can prove to be a "real find."
There have been a few times when stumbling around in these shops, discovered brand new shoes, belts, bags, and even clothes never worn and tags still affixed.
Have you ever wondered why you can find a brand new pair of designer boots all leather, or beautiful cashmere or pure merino wool labeled sweaters? silk-lined gaberdine pants or skirts? Designer clothing and accessories are highly sought after from upscale and luxury stores/boutiques. Make a trip off the "track" from the outlets and the malls and find a consignment shop or vintage store that looks for a myriad of styles to offer their clients. Sometimes they are not squeezed by the "seasonal" standards and it may be a little daunting to wade through the racks of items, but you could get lucky if you have patience, and discover a pricey item for much, much less.
Once again--if you have the energy and curiousity of a local consignment "find" why not? You may find a big score, and even a bit 'o the designer that wears for years to come as a classic!
Be brave, get out there and shop ....tis the season, so no excuses.
