Thursday, September 12th; I had Las Vegas Attraction Guns and Ammo Garage on my mind. A highly anticipated trip to Vegas with the number one, heavy weight champion in the shooting range arena; with just two years in their chamber.
“Guns and Ammo Garage is the state-of-the-art Las Vegas shooting range that puts a bang in your visit to Vegas that the casinos just can't match.”
I had some idea of what to expect, as I was going to a shooting range and the obvious would be to shoot. However, it was not 'just' that. It was not just any range and it definitely was not just shooting. It was an experience; the process or fact of personally observing, encountering, or undergoing something. My trip was coordinated to include a free shuttle service to and from my hotel. This was a great added service simply because I did not rent a car during my stay. The fact that the shuttle was available made it possible for me to make this visit.
Upon arrival, I was cordially greeted by staff; who were expecting me. This is how the experience began. Guns and Ammo Garage provided a warm, welcoming atmosphere and they were very inviting. The fact that everyone was so open allowed for me to let any guards down. I stricken with anxiety when viewing some of the packages available and it could have easily became very overwhelming; as my only experience with rifles of that capacity was years ago when I was married.
The staff’s knowledge of the weapons as well as the laws, displayed the responsibility that should come alone with any gun owner, shooter, and advocate. I was given safety training as well as proper instruction on how to handle the firearms. I was carefully walked through the entire process of using the firearm. For me it was like a Continuing Education course, to the training I had to qualify as a Concealed gun license holder. One on one with my very own NRA certified range safety officer was a bonus. That left no room for error.
I was able to experience the Glock 19 which is a 9mm handgun; the UZI which is a 9mm submachine gun; the Tommy Gun (Thompson), a .45ACP submachine gun; and lastly the“Happy Ending” which is their Krinkov, also known as the AKS-47 it’s a .223 caliber fully automatic machine gun. It is well-known for its influence on the final experience with at Guns and Ammo Garage Las Vegas. I have to say…..very well defined! It was nice to merge something so serious into fun. It was taking safety and molding it, without losing its form; which is something hard to visualize. Becoming acquainted with aforementioned was quite the lesson in savoir-faire. I even walked away with a video of my entire experience on a flash drive. How awesome is that!
Guns and Ammo Garage earned the first National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) five-star rating for a commercial range in Las Vegas.
