2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek 2.0i Limited
More like a tall and short station wagon with ultra cool wheels (as a opposed to a CUV), the model is a five door with raised suspension providing 8.7” inches of ground clearance. The Crosstrek also includes 17” alloy wheels, larger front brakes , and features an extended-capability chassis with high fuel economy.
The engine is a DOHC 4-cylinder 2.0 Liter Boxer and its sports car sound with acceleration provides immediate response. The vehicle also performed well in handling/steering and driving during rain. The car responded and held well on wet roads.
The interior made a good use of space while the cargo could easily fit four airline approved sized suitcases. The vehicle was also equipped with a roof rack (handy for trips), and an entertainment system featuring navigation. With the navigation there were a few instances when the verified address that was entered did not appear within the systems range of house numbers. The navigation also featured a compass which could only be seen when the navigation system was in use. A permanently displayed compass would have been helpful. The vehicle also featured a sunroof but the comfortable and well sculpted seats were manual.
As far as strength, durability and safety the Crosstrek ranked very well and also provided near perfect and blind spot free views. The body structure features increased high-tensile steel and a ring shaped frame reinforcement body structure.
The Crosstrek is also equipped with performance and passenger safety features such as; brake assist, brake override, vehicle dynamic control (vdc), traction control system, incline start assist, and rollover sensor. The vehicle is also an AWD with continuously variable transfer clutch that manages the power split based on acceleration, deceleration, and available traction. This system powers all four wheels and will transfer power to the wheels with the best grip. With mild off-road capabilities, the Crosstrek obtains more than just ‘everyday driver’ performance.
The cargo area is 22.3 cu. ft. when all seats are upright and is equipped with roof rails for additional hauling capabilities. The cargo area also features removable cargo tray, retractable cargo cover, and tie-down hooks.
There are three Crosstrek models to choose from: XV, XV 2.0i Premium, and XV 2.0i Limited
Base Price of XV Crosstrek 2.0i Limited is $24,495.00 dollars
Navigation, sunroof, all-weather package (heated seats and mirrors) and destination bring final cost to $27,290.00 dollars
