Even fierce winds, lightning, and horizontal sheets of rain could not dampen brunch at 1500 Degrees. Rain-soaked and famished, diners staggered into the lavishly decorated dining room of the Eden Roc's premiere restaurant. The dark wood, high-backed chairs, and intricate chandeliers made it impossible to find a brunch spot with more ambience in Miami Beach.
1500 Degrees features a full breakfast buffet and menu service. The most expansive buffet is named the Big Breakfast and costs $26 per person. This includes made to order pancakes, waffles, French toast, and omelets. Each breakfast includes coffee, tea, juices, and milk. The breakfast buffet consists of four buffet stations: an omelet, hot bar, fruit bar, and a bread and grain bar. The hot bar includes frittatas, seafood breakfast burritos, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, and potatoes. The fruit bar is comprised of tropical fruits as well as the standard fruits. The bread and grain bar has an assortment of bagels, breads, Danishes, muffins, and steel-cut oats. The omelet bar is expansive and the chef is able to prepare up to five omelets at a time, so no one has to wait. Be sure to order pancakes and waffles immediately since they take a while to cook.
Service at 1500 Degrees is top notch and the buffet is under constant staff supervision. Diners are spared the wait for refills or fetching the crumbs of buffets-past onto their plates.
