Ingo's Tasty Food http://www.ingostastyfood.com/ is a new food stand at 40th St. & Campbell that is brought us by the group who has owns La Grande Orange and Chelsea's Kitchen in the same neighborhood. The menu is simple and has 3 burgers ($7.50-$7.95) on it with all 3 using Strauss Family grass fed beef. On this visit I at outside which required ordering at walk-up window (full service is available inside) and went with the Paris, Texas burger for $7.95.

Arriving at my table this burger was already cut in half and the buttered and toasted poppy seed bun, baked at LGO bakery, was pierced with toothpicks. The burgers are prepared on a flat top griddle and cooked pink in the middle medium unless specified. The burger is topped with apple BBQ sauce, a piece of pancetta, melted sharp cheddar cheese and dill pickle with shredded lettuce on the bottom half of the bun. Taking only a few bites to eat, the burger tasted fresh and with the pancetta adding nice flavor in place of the more traditional bacon strips. The apple BBQ sauce was sweet but not over powering nor was the cheddar cheese.

No sides come with the burgers unless you order them and your only choice looks to be the fresh, shattered potato chips at $3.75. You probably won't feel completely full with this burger as you would with others around town that come with French fries or other sides, but you will feel satisfied enough to get you through the rest of your day leaving room for a mid -afternoon snack but it's hard to go wrong for the price for quality and taste.

Ingo's Tasty Food is open Tues. - Sun. from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. and is at 4502 N. 40th St. Phoenix 85018. 602-795-2884
