I found this place on the go, thanks to android google search. Although it was located in a typical suburban shopping center, it has a very simple and urban feel, very much like a high traffic metropolitan take-out place. The dining area is very small and a little cramped, so plan to order your food to go. I ordered the house special Lo Mein, some spicy chicken wings and egg rolls. I got my order in about 12 minutes and everything was hot and well packaged. The Lo Mein was cooked just right and the shrimp inside were enormous. The wings were fair but the hot sauce was pretty good and getting 8 wings for around $4 was a good value. The egg rolls were crispy outside and moist inside. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the food quality and the preparation speed. I also liked how the dinner menu was not substantially more expensive than the lunch menu. The cost of the dinner portions compared to the lunch combos was fairly static.
Most of the customer reviews of this spot are positive. The bulk of the negative comments seem to center on the use of MSG. My response to that is, “Hi! It’s Chinese Take-out, dummy.”
Overall I would recommend this place if you are in the Northlake or Huntersville area looking for a fast Chinese meal. I give this place 4 out of 5 fortune cookies.
