British Secret Agent 007 James Bond (Roger Moore) has been summoned into M's (Bernard Lee) office. M gives Bond a gold bullet and on it are the numbers 007. Someone has gone to some extreme measures to let the British Secret Service know that someone wants Bond dead.
The bullet came from an agent in Beirut so that is where James Bond is off to first. There he will find a dancer who has a similar bullet from the body of a dead agent who was her boyfriend. It's the Bullet that is the key. There are not many who can mold a golden bullet and there is a man in Hong Kong who does such work.
So Bond is off to Hong Kong where the manufacturer of these types of Bullets are made. Bond is spotted by a very little man by the name of Nick Nack (Herve Villechaize). You see Nick Nack works for a man called Scaramanga (Christopher Lee). Scaramanga is an assassin who wants to have a game of kill or be killed.
Scaramanga considers himself to be the best and his only closest competition is Bond. Scaramanga lives on an Island in the South China Sea and Bond realizes he must go and confront this man. On the Island Bond finds out that there is more to this than just a game.
Sheriff Pepper (Clifton James) from Louisiana is over vacationing with his wife and he does run into Bond and yes they do go on another one of those nail biting chases.
Director Guy Hamilton has done a wonderful job with the transition of Connery to Moore. It shows in thia movie. Moore's Bond is much more down to earth. So once again sit back and enjoy another in the series of movies of Bond Adventures.
