Let’s begin with a disclaimer: The Kitchen is expensive, it does require reservations, and it is not a place to bring you kids. How expensive is this place? Dinner is approximately $135 per person with drinks costing extra. Should you choose to try their wine flights, where the chef pairs a glass of wine with each course, you can expect to pay an additional $85 per person. If you want to bring your own wine, the corkage fee is $50. Additionally, regardless of the size of your party, there is a 20% gratuity tacked on to your bill.
However, The Kitchen offers patrons a dinner service that is unforgettable. Each month, the Chef puts together a menu consisting of four courses, a dessert, and an intermission, which includes sushi, crudo, or sashimi. The service is impeccable; the staff anticipates your every need, they are all incredibly friendly, and they even offer a white gloved tea service.
When you call in to make your reservations, let them know of any dietary restrictions you have, and they will tailor the menu to fit your needs. Every course has three options from which you can choose, so no diner should feel limited by their meal.
If you are not prepared to spend $400+ on dinner and drinks for two, then this is not the place for you. However, if you have the means, the time, and a general curiosity about all the hype, then then make your reservations and have a truly unique culinary experience.
