This 299-page book on holistic pain relief was intriguing. Packed with knowledge, informative information and the element of surprise, it was enjoyable to read all the interesting facts and research scattered throughout the book. She began the book sharing her own experience about her life, how she encountered her own pain and how she struggled to find the best solution to cope and rid her body from the pain she was enduring. Reading her own experience, made you feel like you were not the only one on this planet dealing with pain that causes you to feel frustrated, depressed and hopeless at times.

She goes on to discuss the success she had using acupuncture and chiropractic care. It was extraordinary to learn how these two holistic methods help cure her and made such a dramatic impact in her life.

As the book unfolds, you surprisingly begin to see how the health care system and the pharmaceutical companies do not always look out for the patient’s best interest. One example, in the book discusses a study conducted by the Journal of the American Medical Association, which concluded that our health care system itself is the third-leading cause of death in the country. The study covered a host of causes including, errors, unnecessary surgeries, infections, and side effects of properly prescribed drugs approved by the FDA. This makes you stop and think and you begin to wonder maybe there is a better way. This is when my attention to the words in the book deepened and I began to develop a deep focus on what other holistic methods and alternatives are out there that could cure pain without having to rely on unnatural solutions that in the long run cause me more pain or health problems. This book covered all different types of ways to cure your pain naturally, so you could go on to live a happy, healthy and productive life.

Through reading this book, you begin to realize that our body was created to heal itself and using the right alternative methods, detoxifications, exercises and by eating properly, we can help our bodies heal itself from the pain that forces us to live in agony. This book is a life-changing book that I highly recommend to anyone suffering from pain.

Dr. Tick’s, book is exciting packed with outstanding advice, tools and techniques and I find this book to be a motivating and enjoyable read. This book may be just what the doctor ordered for anyone experiencing any degree of pain. Dr. Tick was in a quest to find and save herself from the pain that entered her own life and with this book; she will undoubtingly save and change the lives of many.
