The Floozies test the Jazzhaus' capacity with MONTU + Previews!

A sold-out Jazzhaus got quite raunchy as the drinks flowed and the music raged Saturday night. The Floozies' side-project FUTURE SHOCK played a fun show Friday, but the energy carried over for yet another jam-packed night of fun Saturday. Openers MONTU came up from Oklahoma to show Lawrence how our southern neighbors get down and the Hill brothers brought the house down with an epic show that lasted all night.

The early crowd was a little shy when MONTU started opening the venue, but dancers warmed up to the music before too long. MONTU's electronic rock was just the kind of positive energy that the Jazzhaus needed to get a good night going. The climactic, fast style of sound was perfect for dancing along to, or just sitting back and listening.

The Floozies took the show to new heights. The jam band duo know how to party and they had an overflowing dance floor full of fans to rage with. The dynamic, intricate songs Matt and Mark put together are an impressive exhibition of improvisational brilliance. The brothers' unique style is a sharp and clever demonstration of electronic dance music.

As far as local bands go, The Floozies are easily among the most skilled and most popular. Their reputation of hot, action-packed fun keeps growing as they do. The show last night was a sweet new example of how much Lawrence loves this band. Two nights of sold-out partying. It does not get much better than that.
