The Devil Inside is about a woman who wants to find out what happened to her mother who was accused of murdering three people in 1989 during her own exorcism. It is filmed in documentary style, so think Blair Witch meets Paranormal Activity.
It does a good job showing the difference between someone with a mental illness and someone who is possessed by demons. The actors are very good and the scenes look very real. However, the movie is too short and has an abrupt and unsatisfactory ending.
If you want to get spooked, there are definite moments where you will jump out of your seat and you will see lots of blood, but will most likely not like how it ends. I would wait until this comes out on cable, but make sure you watch it with someone else.
This screening was at Arundel Mills Cinemark Theatre and before it began, there were two protestors that were shouting to the audience that they do not endorse this kind of movie and that we all have a choice to be here and we should not support it. They were escorted out by police.
