First Look for Charity which is one of Chicago's greatest one-day fundraiser, annualy generates as much as $2 million for 18 area nonprofit orginizations. The uber elite of socialites and car buffs alike, anticipate this benevolent tuxedo and evening gown mandatory gala which affords these participants the chance to stroll the show floor amid opulence not present during the public portion of The Chicago Auto Show event.
Guests for tonites gala are paying $250, for the privilege of being treated to champagne, wine, soft drinks, elegant hors d'oeuvres and desserts. That's all while being privied to be first to check out next year's edition of the nation's largest auto show. And it gets better, First Look for Charity features the chance to win a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe and a 2013 Buick Encore....ooooo....ahhhh. Of course for Thurston & Luvey from Barrington, Il. limousined in,the intensity of this luxury takes a hit.
First Look for Charity,since its debut in 1992, has raised more than $34 million for significant area charities. This year in 2013 beneficiaries include, Boys and Girls of Chicago,Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago,Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago among others.
Tonight. the 2013 First Look for Charity, has the pleasure of being entertained by 'American English', the only a quality 1960's Beatles cover band. Voted, "Best Tribute Band" three of the past four years. Voted No. 1 by thousands of Beatles fans as winners of sound alike contests at 'Beatlefest'.
But also by the "Million Dollar Quartet",which is the smash-hit musical now at Chicago's Apollo Theater.It's the musical is inspired by the famed recording session that brought together for the first and only time rock 'n' roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. Tonights was a real treat, because this a red-hot rock 'n' roll band was a thrilling musical that brought us inside the recording studio with four major talents for one unforgettable night.It was worth the visit at the First Look for Charity, for chance to be in the audience of the MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET!
But lets not forget the auto manufacturers that are on display feauturing their cars,hybrids and suv's like: Acura, Fiat, Land Rover, Dodge Ram, Cadillac,Toyota,Chey, Ford,GM, Jaguar,Volkswagon, Jeep, Ford, among others which will be on display.
