The Book of Mormon currently being performed at the Aronoff Center for the Arts until January 26, 2014. This musical is outrageous fun and will have you laughing in your seats. It is a amusing satire of the Church of the Latter Day Saints. The creators of South Park and Avenue Q will entice you with a interesting perspective on the beliefs, customs and rituals of the Mormon religion.

This story centers around two new missionaries Elder Price (Mark Evans) and Elder Cunningham (Christopher John O’Neil). They are assigned by the mission president to evangelize Africa and make a difference in area struggling with poverty and tribal warlords.

These saints are not perfect Elder Price is self centered and would rather be a missionary at Disney World hanging out with Mickey and converting people coming and leaving the park. He has fantasies of being one of the Mormon greats.

Elder Cunningham just wants to be liked and is in need of friendships. However, he lies, makes things up, and has a very vivid imagination. You might be intrigued to know Star Wars, and Hobbits are mentioned in The Book of Mormon really.

The musical has a great selection of songs that will keep you asking for more including, Turn it Off, Man Up, Hello, I Am Here for You, and Two by Two.

The Book of Mormon likely one of the best shows you will see all season. It will entertain and lift your spirits. More information is available at cincinnati.broadway.com/‎
