In Wichita Falls, Texas, people were not interested in eating healthy. Most of the heart healthy offerings either weren't sold in this market or they were out. Last weekend, my mother found the last box of Quaker Oats Oatmeal To Go Bars Cinnamon & Brown Sugar after QVC featured Corazona’s Heart Healthy Oatmeal Squares Corazonas (24) 1.8 oz. Berries & Nuts Healthy Snack Squares Macadamia Nut on their “In the Kitchen with David” on Sunday afternoon, September 16. After eating most of these squares, they came highly recommended when the other store-bought equivalent was unavailable.
The Bible said this about keeping the body healthy:
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (KJV)
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Nutrition-wise, these squares were designed to have been:
They resembled cholesterol, but blocked the LDL cholesterol from being absorbed into the bloodstream. Instead of plugging up arteries, the cholesterol just went out with the body‘s waste. One found this helper in foods like margarine, orange juice, cereals, and granola bars. This was only if one found the granola or oatmeal counterpart on the shelf locally, which had been difficult in the last few months.
Right now, because of the heat, eating hot oatmeal three times a week was not wise. A low fat diet helped too. Grains like high fiber cereals, yogurt, fruit or heart healthy muffins helped too at breakfast. Two of these squares were filling enough for most of the day. They were so good that another order for another flavor was made yesterday. Hopefully there won’t have had to have been more that a 45 day wait. Unlike the store bought offering there were less preservatives and sugar.
This was a reasonably priced product because two boxes at 24 count total, were better than the store offering of six, eight, or ten bars a box. The second order was two dollars more than the first but still worth the price.
