You can't go wrong with some fantastic hand made artisan chocolates from Chocolate Secrets. Chocolatier, Kate Weiser has create a shop that not only has some of the best chocolate in Dallas, but packaged it neatly in this unique shop with gifts of wine, champagne, ice cream, cakes and other sweet delights. Pair that with an evening of Jazz music and french lessons and you have a place fit for Valentine's Day, every day of the year.

Kate has been a pastry chef for the past seven years and tried chocolate in order to provide something new and challenging. The hand-painted chocolates, takes four to five days to do with polishing, painting, shelling, filling, and capping. But they take only seconds to eat. Many of the ingredients are imported and include chocolates from France, Belgium and within the US.

Let them eat cake
If your sweetie doesn't want chocolate, they may want to try the in store menu items. From cakes, cupcakes, macaroons, coffee, tea, sundaes, cake balls and more there is an array of items that you may like. On this setting I tried the sea salt caramel chocolate cake. As the favorite bon bon is the sea salt caramel, I can say most truthfully that this cake does not disappoint. At $8.00 a slice, the slice is big enough to feed three people which I did. There's a layer of salty, not too sweet caramel atop chocolate mousse. The three layer chocolate cake is moist, with a caramel flavored light colored mousse separating the cake layers. All I can say is divine. The other two individuals flat out said that this is the best cake they have ever tasted. I would say venture to purchase the cake for Valentine's Day as well.
The other items such as the array of specialty cakes, fudge, crepes and other in store items are a great reason to spend a few hours at Chocolate Secrets. They also have cute heart shaped chocolate filled gift boxes and pink boxes of Moet Chandon for you to surprise your sweetie with.
