Want to surprise your Valentine with a bunch of cute and thoughtful gifts this year? Here’s a few options that I recommend. Check out Pinch Provisions’ Mini Emergency Kits ($15) for Him and another for Her. The Minimergency® Kit for Her contains 17 essentials such as hairspray, earring backs, clear elastics, double-sided tape, deodorant towelette and breath freshener – perfect for planning a fabulous evening out on the town. While the Miniemergency Kit for Him has 13 must-haves: lip balm, dental floss and breath freshener. What I like best is the kits are small enough to fit in your purse. Grab one for your special someone and start off your Valentine’s Day on the right foot. STARS: ****
Another option is Chapstick’s brand new limited edition ChapStick Cupcake Creations variety, ChapStick Cake Batter and Velvet Cupcake. My personal favorite is the Cake Batter flavor. These two sweet and smooth Chapsticks will nurture your Valentine’s lips and help make them silky smooth this Valentine’s Day. STARS: ****
Looking to go a tad bit sexier this Valentine’s Day? Then consider Merle Norman’s Lip Tints Gift Set ($20) The set includes two shades that are designed to complement any skin tone. What I like best about this kit is each balm is packaged in a little jar with flip top caps and a small mirror. Definitely helps when applying on the go. STARS: ****
Another option to get those soft lips, is vbeauté’s Lip Spread Anti-Age Tinting Lip Gloss ($28). Packaged in a cute purple tube, vbeauté’s is formulated with self-adjusting vBotanicals that react with your lip chemistry to create your very own afterglow. Pretty cool. Additionally, according to the company, “the formulation also boasts Cherry and Pomegranate Fruit Extracts to keep your lips feeling soothed and hydrated, while BioCellular Peptide works to correct and prevent environmental damage.” Either way I found this gloss to be refreshing and nurturing for my lips. What I liked best is it wasn’t too sticky like many glosses out there. I can’t wait to pucker up and kiss my Valentine. STARS: *****
Want to get something so your special someone can feel pampered in her own home? LightStim for Wrinkles is an FDA cleared at-home device that uses LED light therapy to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the skin, providing a range of anti-aging benefits. Yup, I bet there are a number of women (and maybe even men) who would love to get a LightStim for Valentine’s Day. Available at Macys.com and LightStim.com this product retails for $249. How does it work? According to the company, the system, “uses unique multi-wave colors of light that enables users to achieve unparalleled, professional-grade results, such as improving the texture of skin, reducing pore size and bettering the appearance of sun-damaged skin.” Living in California I’m sure I’m not the only person with sun-damaged skin, so I was more than happy to test this product and I give it a four star salute. Patron even has a cute Valentine’s Day offering with its Patron XO Café Dark Cocoa coffee liqueur. Packaged in a heart shaped box filled with two mini bottles of Patron’s XO Cocoa liqueur ($40) is a blend of Patron’s ultra premium tequila combined with the essence of coffee and chocolate. Delicious. Patron XO is available for purchase at wine and spirit stores nationwide. STARS: ****
