Early this year, Puma introduced a line of shoes that fell into the category of “adaptive running.” These shoes, known as the Puma Mobium Elite, conform to your feet as you run. It’s better than barefoot – you get all the protection of effective footwear in a sleek, stylish, lightweight shoe.
Over the summer, Puma took to the drawing board again and redesigned the women’s version of the shoe to improve the shoe’s form and function for female runners, including a wider variety of colors.
The shoe is cleverly designed to move with you in every direction as you run.Whether it’s a high speed sprint, a steady jog or leaping across rugged trails, this shoe is built to move with you. The design is structured after the biomechanics of the foot and comes with a built-in operation system that moves with the foot through the gait cycle for the most efficient run possible. The Puma Mobium Elite “operating system” is comprised of three advanced technologies, all proprietary to Puma: Expansion Pods, the Windlass Chassis and the Mobium Band. The Expansion Pods line the outer sole of the shoe, acting in the same manner as the foot’s own bones and pads to offer optimal support, cushioning, protection and flexibility where it is needed most. The Windlass Chassis, found in the upper and outsole of the shoe, mimics the foot’s natural movement pattern, changing in length and height as your foot moves through each step. On the bottom of the shoe, you will find the Mobium Band, the signature technology of this shoe, which mirrors the tendons of the foot – it is an elasticized band that springs back with the impact of your mid-foot strike.
Puma is top-ranked and world class for a reason – they know how to make shoes that help you run faster, better and safer. You can visit Puma.com or local and online retailers to get your own pair of Puma Mobium Elite running shoes.
