Get ready to compete in the most intense and brutal fighting tournament with Dead or Alive Dimensions. In this game for the 3DS, you compete in a fighting tournament known as Dead or Alive. Depending on the character you choose, you compete in the tournament for different reasons; some of those reasons include taking out a clan known as DOATEC and finding a traitor that betrayed your family. The game modes in this game are very good; in chronicle mode, you choose a character and play through the Dead or Alive story line. In arcade mode, you play through six courses in which you compete against eight fighters. Survival mode allows you to choose a fighter and see how long you can last against a chosen amount of fighters. The first wave starts at ten, and then goes onto twenty, thirty, fifty, and finally one hundred fighters. The one hundred wave is extremely hard, so the best way to beat this is to keep fighting and use alot of combos. Tag challenge allows you to team up with the computer and fight opponents. You can use free play mode to choose your stage and opponents. Throw down is a very cool mode that lets you fight against fighters you found using StreetPass. As you complete the modes, you gain figurines you could view in the showcase. I think the two elements that make this game great are the gameplay and the 3D. During gameplay you could interact with the environment to cause maximum damage; you could kick someone off a bridge and watch them fall to the ground. You could also kick someone off a snow cliff and watch them tumble down stairs to the ground. In one of the stages, there are electrical bars, and when you kick a fighter toward these bars, a large amount of their power will decrease. The 3D in this game is really impressive; at the end of every fight, the fighter makes a stance, and most of their body stands out from the screen. The stages themselves really stand out from the screen too. Overall, this is a nice fighting game for the 3DS, and the 3D stands out well throughout the game. So if you are a fan of fighting games, then Dead or Alive Dimensions would be a good choice for you.
