RHA Headphones and Earphones

Everyone uses headphones and earphones, but most people stick with those that come with their smartphone, tablet, or MP3 player. These earphones typically have a low quality audio output, poor build quality, and are usually uncomfortable to wear whether that be in or over the ears. RHA seeks to solve these issues with their high quality headphone and earphone products. The two models I have tested are the SA950i headphones and the MA450i earphones.

The SA950i and the MA450i each have fabric-braided cables that reduce tangling. They also both include an inline 3 button remote / microphone that allows you to use control your volume, play/pause your music, change songs, activate “Siri”, and answer phone calls. In addition, each pair has gold plated 3.5mm headphone plugs that maximize the electrical conduction.

The SA950i has soft faux leather padding on each of the contoured earpieces as well as on the adjustable headband. 40mm titanium Mylar drivers deliver professional grade audio. The MA450i earphones are machined from a solid piece of aircraft grade aluminum and have a scratch resistant coating. Seven interchangeable tips of varying sizes are included to customize the fit for any user.

The microphones on both sets outperformed the built-in microphone on an iPhone 4S during a phone call, both minimized external ambient sounds quite well, and both felt very comfortable during extended use. I found the fabric-braided cables to be quite effective at reducing tangling. I also really enjoyed the much-improved quality of these headphones over my various cheap “stock” headphones. They also seem to be durable, which is important in my book.

If you are tired of having your music sound like it’s coming out of an old soup can due to low quality headphones, then check out anything made by RHA. They definitely make quality products.
