Right next door to the amazing Cowgirl's Baking, is an equally amazing vegan wonder: Quintessence. When many people think of raw food they think of carrot sticks or sushi. Quintessence blows all such boring conceptions out of the water with 100% vegan, raw and organic food configured into all types of delicious dishes.
Appetizers, soups, salads, pastas, rices, casseroles, pizzas, desserts and even brunch dishes glean inspiration that spans the globe from Indian curries to Mexican enchildadas. The best part about Quinetessence's food is that you can't even tell it's vegan, organic and raw. Gone are the days of bland wheatgrass shakes; Quintessence's dishes are flavorful and rich with texture and seasoning. Prices are a little steep for a small informal restaurant, but the high standard for ingredients and involved preparation techniques do require more time and love.
Stop by for lunch or dinner and enjoy your meal in the comfort of an entirely wooden interior with ample vegetation. It almost brings to mind a bamboo forest, although this raw, vegan, organic eating is far more sophisticated than a panda chomping on bamboo.
