It was a warm sunny day and I was looking for a cool and delicous beverage to both cool me down and satisfy my sweet tooth. I had been hearing a lot about the new Strawberry Lemonade drink at McDonald's, and also had seen the television commercials. One day after work, I thought I would give the new drink a taste by stopping by my local McDonald's in Sullivan, Illinois. Sullivan is primarily south of Champaign, probably a little bit over an hour away.
For those who love lemonade, you will enjoy the sour pucker that you get once the liquid hits your tongue. If you love the sweet taste of strawberries, the sweetness of the lemonade will also satisfy that sweet tooth that you have. The Strawberry Lemonade at McDonald's offers both a sweet and sour flavor at the same time. It also has plenty of cool crushed ice to cool you off on a hot summer day.
I do not reccommend that you drink this with a full meal deal. The Strawberry Lemonade is more of a dessert drink. Although, it can be consumed with a light salad, as I did this one day on my lunch break while at work. Also, be sure that you do not drink the lemonade too fast! If you remember what a brain freeze was like-you definitely will get one if you drink the sweet and sour beverage too fast. Also, be sure that you drink the lemonade before it the chill leaves. This is not a drink that tastes great warm. As the chill begins to wear down, the strawberry lemonade begins to sour. Defiitely not an after-taste that I want to enjoy.
If you are looking for the mixture of sweet and sour, then you may want to give the new Strawberry Lemonade a new try. It's a delicious dessert drink that you can relax to, and enjoy either on the road or sitting down at your local McDonald's restaurant.
