Tamar Braxton finally releases her anticipated single, "Love and War"

Tamar Braxton, sister of Toni Braxton and reality television star of the "The Braxtons" and spin-off "Tamar and Vince", has recently released her single, "Love and War".

Does the song live up to fans'/music lovers' expectations? Does the song really prove that she can stand as a solo performer?

Well, in my opinion, Tamar's sound is between a Keyshia Cole and yes, Toni Braxton.

As the song starts, there is some reminiscence of Keyshia Coles' sound, but fortunately for her a bit more refined. Then there is the vague huskiness of Toni Braxton, which must be a Braxton trait. The positive highlight is that her sound is easy on the ears and the song is catchy and relatable. So, yes, she can stand on her own, at least as a recording artist.

As far as ratings, in my opinion, the song itself gets a 4 out of 5, but the video, which is a huge disappointment, gets a 2 out of 5.

The story is not being told through the video's direction so the video does the song no justice. Also, Tamar's portrayal is not at all believable; acting is definitely not her forte. In other words, the video looks so fake; we won't mention anything else about "fake". :)

Seriously though, I was actually looking for Tamar's husband, Vince - cuddly teddy bear, to play her love interest, maybe the video would have been better received. Video and Song: 3 out of 5 for total ratings.

Examine for yourselves though.
