DITR…A STAR IS BORN 6: THE FIX WINNERS AND ARTISTS WENT TO THE MAKE IT HAPPEN SHOW PRODUCED BY PAMELA WRIGHT ON TUESDAY, JULY 8, 2014.

Every year DITR…is invited to the “Make it Happen Show” produced by Pamela Wright in Hartford for a live show on channel 5/99. This year, DITR brought with us some dynamic talent from New Jersey to Farmington. One of the features from DITR’s annual talent showcase & competition was Lauren G. Music from Farmington who sang her heart of at the show on June 28th. What a true pleasure and sweet sound it was to hear her grace us with two selections last night. One was called, “Impossible.” It’s ironic because for me (founder of DITR) the situation of having enough funds for the event looked and seemed impossible to execute, but God. He made it possible for “…all things are possible in Christ Jesus.” The song was appropriate for both circumstance and so delightful. This woman is on the rise, and I’ve coined her “the next Tina Marie.”

Also, we had a wonderfully, fantabulous 9 year old feature named, K’lynn of New Jersey on the set that I interview last year and this year when TALK 2 ME Media covered the McDonald’s Gospelfest; recently on our radio broadcast as well. K’lynn has opened up for Aretha Franklin, Cissy Houston, TD Jakes, done the Apollo, and more. She like a sweet, stormy breeze blowing in with force, and has a way of capturing your attention.

She and her family had been traveling since 6am going to an audition in New York, taking cars, trains, and subways to land in Hartford for DITR’S PROMO ON MAKE IT HAPPEN. I was honored and overjoyed to have her, her mother Wendy, and the boys. K’lynn is a professional who has “IT!” Not once did I see her complain from exhaustion, or the time it took before she went on. Once the cameras, and lights were on her she took over and new just how to promote herself and blow us away with her rendition of Frankie Lymons’ song. She was totally articulate, energetic, and dynamite when on the stage. We loved it, and people came from other studio rooms to hear her. I’m so appreciative to have worked with her and her mother. What a true blessing she was.

DITR’s new 2014, Diamond Twinkle, Jonathon Heyward who is 10 years old sang accapella to a song he so enjoyed called, “Freedom.” Once again totally appropriate choice. He won on June 28th singing this song. He fairly new to entertainment, but has been ministering in song since age 5, once for ASIB-AGAIN ANNUAL TALENT SHOWCASE & COMPETITION, and now for his church’s praise and worship team. With the support of his aunt, Elder Savanda Gasque, producer of the Keeping It Real Show on channel 5, his little sister, and mom this young man can leap over mountains. He danced, spun, laughed, and was very inquisitive as to when his upcoming DITR promos would be; truly funny. Hopefully, you’ll see him and the NEW STAR DIAMOND WINNER, NADJA MCKENZIE at the “People of Excellence Show,” on WDJZ with Darlene McGhee, and in the studio soon working on techniques and stage presence.

OUR NEW STAR DIAMOND WINNER, NADJA MCKENZIE all the way from Brooklyn, NY, did a tremendous job singing and playing the guitar. She has been a finalist teen soloist at the McDonald’s Gospelfest since last year. She was great at the Prudential and was just as warm, gifted, and inspiring last night. With her mother, Carla by her side she dazzled us in her beautiful white summer dress and shiny white guitar as she played a song about freedom as well. What an awesome young lady with so many gifts God has placed in her. It was just a true honor to have her be a winner at my show, “ASIB 6.” GOD is able. It’s not a surprise how far this young girl has come due to the love, support, and motivation of her parents alone. Her mom so caring and kind with a gentleness about her pushes her to be better every time she comes out on the stage, and with her education as well. I love working with parents like this because they understand and knows what it takes to be the best, and have no problem helping their child achieve that even when it includes long nights, no rest, long hours of travel, investment, and believing the God given talents placed in their babies. Awesomely, fantabulous is all I can say about Nadja.

God is able.
