Tabbed Out takes the waiting out of a good time

If you're like me during the holiday season you need every free minute you can find to do Christmas shopping and there is nothing more annoying than waiting in a crowded restaurant to get back to the insanity.

Even if it’s not the holiday season you can still find yourself in a situation where you would like to cash out and your server is slammed. In steps Tabbed Out to make that wait disappear!

Known as a local social media innovator, Bocktown is the first to locally support Tabbed Out and it should come as no surprise that the service has taken off. Hearing about the service at Bocktown and then reading about it in the latest issue of Entrepreneur Magazine my smartphone was crying for a chance to take a new mobile app for a drive.

The first thing that sticks out is the search feature for restaurants in the area where the service is already accepted. In your profile you will enter your credit card information and let the application handle the rest of the work. Select the restaurant you are at and “open” your tab. You will then be given a code that you show to the server and they will associate your check with this tab. From there every time you place an item to order and it is entered into the register, you will see it on the app. This is a great feature if you’re out for a couple drinks or you’re short on cash and want to see what your bill total is.

When you’re ready to close out you are given the option to select the amount for the tip and cash out. Worried about a receipt? Don’t be. You are emailed a pdf for your records.

Download the app and let me know what you think about it in the comments below.
