Hello all video game enthusiasts,
If you've clicked on this review, you may notice I've decided to branch out my reviews as I've recently been asked to do some application reviews (otherwise known as apps in the media world). After careful consideration and some time off, I've decided to not only continue reviewing video games (basing from Nintendo and branching out to other systems occasionally), but also review apps which are requested. I will start this new choice of category by reviewing an app entitled "Sushi Cat".
Sushi Cat is what you might call a "time-waster" app. Granted, most applications are designed to waste time in one way or another, but this one in particular has the same goal each level and the same outcome, with no skill or lives system implemented. However, this does not mean the game is not any good. On the contrary, Sushi Cat is a wonderfully easy, enjoyable game with bright, colorful layout and cheerful music. The object of the game is to feed this small cat sushi by dropping him a specific way, similar to "Plinko" or other games where you must land a marble in a specific category. Sushi are scattered along the board and as the cat eats, the meter on the left of the screen fills. Once you feed the cat enough sushi using only a limited number of tries, you win the game. It's quite simple as far as concepts go, but charming and fun. The game does not last long as there are a limited number of levels, but there is a second campaign option for those who can't get enough Sushi Cat.
There are no pay to play options in this game, and nothing the player can buy. I recommend this game for all those looking for a new app to play while on a dreaded wait in the doctor's office or a long car ride. The following ratings are based one a 1 to 10 scale system, with 1 being abysmal and 10 being unforgettable.
Replay Value: 6
Cost: .99 cents
Aha, we made it the last part of my newest type of review! Have any of you played Sushi Cat? What do you think of the game? Have any suggestions for my next app review? Tell me in the comments!
