New York Fashion Week will officially begin tomorrow, however the week has already kicked off with a stylish bang. Many well known fashion designers have released their Spring/Summer 2014 Ready to Wear collections in artistic photographic form, including the fabulous Erin Fetherston. Fetherston displayed her Spring/Summer 2013 Ready to Wear collection today in a photo shoot that seemed inspired by the great outdoors. The collection appeared to be something straight out a beautiful garden party, giving off a very playful and femenine vibe.
Fetherston's collection included true ready-to-wear pieces, boasting dresses to wear for all occasions. From the lunch room to the ball room, the collection was full of elegant, yet flirty pieces that will definitely complement any Spring or Summer day. There was no exact color scheme, which seemed inspired by a beautiful garden full of various florals. The colors ranged from bright lime greens, coral, and hot pink, to neutral creams, navy, and taupe. There were also kisses of simple floral prints throughout the collection, giving the dresses a slightly retro feel.
Erin Fetherston stated that the collection was inspired by her trip to Barbados to be married earlier this past summer. The dresses were created as replicas of the beautiful pieces she designed for her wedding trip and ceremony. This explains the beauty, fun, and elegance of the collection. It seems Fetherston has found her true Ready-To-Wear niche with these pieces.
