Suave Shine Shampoo and Conditioner with Moroccan Infusion

I have been going through shampoo and conditioner like crazy lately, trying to find the perfect ones for my hair type. My hair can be very coarse and living in the desert with our dry air and hard water wreaks havoc on my hair. To combat this, I usually go for anything that says conditioning or moisturizing on the label; lately they've all been duds. I tried Vidal Sassoon and Neutrogena most recently and both left my hair feeling like straw.

I saw a commercial the other day for Suave's new line of hair products containing Moroccan Infusion and I was intrigued. I've used a moroccan oil leave-in treatment before and it DID condition my hair but it weighed it down at the same time. I decided to give the shampoo and conditioner a try, hoping I would get the conditioning benefits of the oil without the weighing down since it gets washed out. I tried it yesterday and so far, I'm loving it. My hair definitely looks shinier, my curls are back and springier than ever, my hair feels softer and the frizziness is virtually gone. Right now I'm getting salon benefits at drugstore prices!

The one thing some people may not like is the shampoo's smell. Straight from the bottle, it's a little strong. It isn't an unpleasant smell, but it's very powerful at first. Luckily, the conditioner is much more mild and by the time your hair is dry, there is only a very faint perfume smell that remains. Normally there is a leftover scent on my hair all day long with other products I've used, but this one I can barely smell.

I'm giving this four stars out of five, only because of the scent issue. I've read some customer reviews on the product and that is the number one thing everyone complained about. Other than that, I think it's a great product and I'm looking forward to seeing how shiny my hair is from these products when I straighten it this weekend!

Suave Shine shampoo and conditioner with moroccan infusion can be found at nearly any store that sells hair products and retail for about $3.99 a bottle.
