Stoneleigh Vineyards, Latitude, Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand, 2013 is pale straw in color. The palate is filled with grapefruit, lemon, lime minerals and light herbs. Tart acidic fruit hits the palate up front, especially grapefruit and kiwi, followed by lemon, lime and wet slate. The finish is filled with a medium crisp acidic finish. Stoneleigh Vineyards, Latitude, Pinot Noir, Marlborough, New Zealand, 2012 is bright ruby red in color. The nose has cherry upfront with smoky earthiness and minerals. The palate displays cherry and strawberry with plenty of earth, tobacco and slight smokiness on the back of the palate. The finish has tart acidity notes that lead to a medium long finish with light and smooth tannins. This Pinot Noir would be perfect with grilled salmon and mesquite barbequed chicken and pork fresh from the grill.
