Where else but on 'AMC' will you find a television series combined with alcoholism, infidelity and all in the world of 1960's advertising. Only on "Mad Men" which is set in the advertising world of circa-1960s New York City and stars Jon Hamm as agency exec Don Draper. Other stars include 'January Jones', 'Elisabeth Moss', 'John Slattery' and 'Christina Hendricks'. It's returning for its two-hour premiere that kicks off the acclaimed drama series' new 6th season on April 7. But following the season opener. Mad Men will return to its regular time slot, Sun., Apr.14,at 10/9c with an episode written by 'Jonathan Igla' and 'Matthew Weiner', and directed by the series star 'Jon Hamm'.
Also 'Matthew Weiner', the creator of the series, will write the script and Executive Producer 'Scott Hornbacher' will direct. Hornbacher previously oversaw directing duties on some of the show's more evocative episodes, and will continue exploring the stories of these characters for a sixth season. It must be an amazing opportunity. Even 'Matthew Weiner' said in a a statement. "We love mining this world and look forward to bringing the audience stories that we hope will continue to both surprise and entertain them."
Television fans' of "Mad Men" will resume playing the drinking game when their favorite show return to tv this April.When the answer to last sesons cliff hangers get answered, like Don, will he cheat on Megan? And Betty, will she lose weight? How about Peggy, will she ever really be happy at Cutler, Gleason, and Chaough? And Glen and Sally, will they live happily ever after? Did geeky Kinsey's "Star Trek" episode get picked up?
The answers to all those questions could be revealed on April 7 at 9 p.m. when the series starts up again.
