STG presents Jeff Beck at the Moore Theatre in Seattle on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011

Jeff Beck played to a sold out show on Friday at the Moore Theatre in Seattle. Rumors were circulating that scalpers were selling tickets outside of the venue at $400 and up for a ticket! No question that this show was an event not to be missed.

When Jeff Beck took the stage the crowd was well ready after a very talented Tyler Bryant had woo-ed them to their feet! The 20yr old opener was a pleasant surprise to most and surely made new fans. His charisma and talent was dually noted.

Taking the stage all alone, he owned the crowd in a matter of minutes. This kid has passion and talent that will take him places.

This is his second tour with Jeff Beck. Beck apparently enjoys being a mentor to such talent. Tyler stated that he was enjoying being on tour with Beck and even though it meant that he would have to play his acoustic guitar…..saying that he thought only cowboys played acoustic guitars…there was an enthusiastic “YeeHaw” from the crowd!

Tyler then smiled and commented that “if Jeff Beck wanted him to wear a tutu and juggle eggs as the opening act that he would be happy to do it.”

But he was thankful that was not the case. And so was the crowd as he introduced his vocals and talent as a guitar player. Tyler is looking forward to playing for Seattle again with his band ‘The Shakedown’. “I would love to play for you with my band in small sold out bar, yes that would be great. I hope to see you all there” Check out their first EP, Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown - From the Sand Castle.

Jeff Beck on stage is a man of few words and chooses to let his guitar do the talking and talk it does for over 90 minutes! He is a master of the electric guitar and a true legend by anyone’s standard. It was a euphoric experience to watch him play and enjoy the melody and talent that he is.

He can play anything and make anything he plays sound great and unique. This is a guy who quietly and continually re-defines what the electric guitar is capable of. We are all lucky to have him around still producing and influencing other guitarists.

Check out the tour if you are lucky enough to have them come to a city near you. You won’t be disappointed!
