There is no element of a MMORPG that can't be found in Star Wars The Old Republic; this game features every type of MMORPG element, including classes, character creation, races, and character customization. Other elements in this game include quests, combat mode and leveling. Because I am so used to playing Star Wars games with Jedi characters I immediately wanted to choose this character, but instead I decided to go to the dark side. I was given the choice of four classes: sith warrior, sith inquisitor, bounty hunter, and imperial agent. I choose the bounty hunter. The character creation screen itself is really easy to use; you just highlight the class you want and the model of the class appears on the screen. Also above the models, you could read some information about the classes, and then above that you could read about the equipment each class uses. You can read about the abilities each class possesses. You could then read about the advanced classes of the given classes. The combat role appears after this, followed by the backstory of the class. All of this information really gives you a through explanation of the class, and helps you make a better decision about which class to play as. All of the races in the game really have a very distinct look to them; the Zabrak race has the red face and horns on their face. The other races look very interesting to play with, such as the Cyborg and the Sith race. You could also read some information about the races above the models. To customize your character is pretty simple; there are several bars on the right side of the screen with arrows on the left and the right. These bars control your character's body type, complexion, eye color, head, scars, hair color, and skin color. Other customizations are available depending on the race and class your choose. Once I was satisfied with the way my character looked, I was brought into a place called The Poison Pit and my first quest was the gauntlet, where I had to search for information on a person named Vexx. A few feet from The Poison Pit was Vexx's safe house, and after dealing with three hired outlaws I grabbed a data pad, and headed back to The Poison Pit to complete my quest. This first quest is very easy, and it really gives you a feel for how the game is. The two other quests I attained at The Poison Pit was not hard at all either, and I completed these rather quickly. The combat moves I had available really worked fast and took my enemies out fast. After I hit my enemy with some rapid shots, I finished them off with missile blasts. Also I love the hot key shortcuts you could use while in combat mode; once you master this, you could make some great combat combinations. I leveled up from level 1 to level 2 by completing the first quest; it took a few more quests to get to level 3. After playing this game for some time, I completely fell in love with it; the classes are very unique and fun to play with. It is very easy to create your characters and race, as well as customize your character. The quests are very easy to find and complete and you are guided through the whole quest with markers on the map. The combat moves are very easy to use with the hot key system; leveling up your character comes fairly easy in the first few quests, and then it takes more quests to level up your character to higher levels. This is one MMORPG I would highly recommend to play, and you can get a much better experience by playing with all the classes and races.
