Spoken singer Matt Baird discusses Illusion, faith, and music (Photos)

For band that has been around for seventeen years, Matt Baird, lead singer of Spoken has the energy and enthusiasm of a kid playing his first gig. The man simply loves the music and loves to play; be it in front of 15,000 in an arena or 5 people in a living room somewhere, just let him play.

Spoken has gone through enormous changes from labels, new producer, new line-up, the gamut yet with the release of the newest effort titled Illusion, they may have really just hit their stride. The album has aggression, melodic power and mellow moments that show-off the bands hard work that went into Illusion.

Illusion is all about what happens when what you thought was real explodes and a new reality hits you in the face, how do you respond? For Matt Baird, he stood up once again and made his best music to date.
