Spoil Me Rotten Dog Biscuits

With all of the current concerns about pet food recalls and products made in China, many dog fanciers are looking for great treats made in the USA. If the treats use organic ingredients - all the better.

Spoil Me Rotten Dog Biscuits totally fit the bill! Their products use organic, locally sourced, so farm fresh, ingredients. No wheat, corn, soy or preservatives are used. Note that no preservatives means you need to store these in the refrigerator or in an airtight container and use quickly. Rapid use is no problem based on our taste testers! All products are hand made here in the US.

As well as standard biscuits, Spoil Me Rotten offers "theme baskets" such as "Let It Snow" with cute cookies that would make great raffles prizes or gifts. Currently they have a special offer with free shipping on orders over $30.

Our test dogs were thrilled to get a package of biscuits to test during the first big snow storm of the year here in upstate NY. Two flavors of dog treats arrived as well as a packet of cat treats. The Fish and Chips Cat Treats were a hit with everyone from Fire the cat to all six dogs. These will be excellent for tracking training.

The dog biscuits were Carrot Cake with ingredients: Organic oat flour, organic carrots, organic brown rice flour, organic eggs, organic wildflower honey, vanilla extract, cinnamon & organic flaxseed oil and Oh So Cheesy with ingredients: Organic blend of oat flour, cheddar and parmesan cheeses, brown rice flour, eggs, wildflower honey and flaxseed oil. Tests were conducted with the two hand offerings - a biscuit of each flavor wrapped in your hand. Dogs had to sniff both hands and then make a choice. The test was repeated with the flavors switched to the opposite hand in case the dogs had a "side" preference.

Oh So Cheesy has a strong cheese smell so it was felt that might be the favorite. All six dogs loved both flavors. Babe the Belgian Tervuren puppy was the only cheese first chooser. Tervs Queezle and Hokey showed no preference - or maybe a preference for whichever treat was in the right hand. Australian Shepherds Baloo and Tia, along with senior Terv Dani were solid "Carrot Cake please" choices.

These biscuits break up easily so you could use them for training treats, even for small dogs. As mentioned the cat treats would make excellent treats for tracking training when you need to put some treat rewards directly on the track.

Most of the Spoil Me Rotten orders go via online but there are stores that carry them and they are at some dog events. They will be at the Greater Philadelphia Pet Expo this weekend - January 13 through 15. Click here for info and a discount coupon. Check the Facebook page for events and other discount offerings.

A 6 oz package of dog biscuits is $8.95 with gift baskets ranging from $6.95 to $8.95. The tester dogs say these are well worth the price. New York City is known for outstanding human cuisine - now the dogs have their own haute cuisine choice!
