Spider-Man is a superhero who has truly withstood the test of time. He has awesome powers, a cool costume, and the best rogues gallery of any hero. His new movie hit today and I was in line to see it at the first showing, and this movie is fun.

Peter Parker is enjoying his new life as Spider-Man, saving people, cracking jokes, and just generally being your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But things have started to change. An old friend from his past shows up, he can't seem to figure out his relationship with his girlfriend, and someone he saved has a truly electrifying turn for the worst.

I loved this movie. It captured everything I love about my favorite super-hero and gave him a movie that he deserved. There are lots of people who are down on this movie and I just don't get it. Like I said the movie is just fun all the way through and that's what Spider-Man is a fun character, he's not meant to be dark and brooding like Batman. He runs his mouth more than any other hero. And they get that part right. Spidey is the smart-aleck we know and love.

The action is phenomenal as well. He moves like you think he should, his powers are all on full display. One person who was in the theater with me said afterwards they wished he had swung around more because the acrobatics were beautiful to behold. The fights showed what Spider-Man is capable of as well.

And Andrew Garfield is possibly the best actor to play Spider-Man. He plays the character so well that you couldn't imagine anyone else in the role. And he's a great Peter Parker as well. He gets the fact that Peter has guilt over decisions he has made but is still able to make him a likable character instead of a depressing one. And Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy is miles ahead of Kirsten Dunst's portrayal of MJ. She is funny, smart and in no way a damsel in distress. I also want to mention Sally Field as a wonderful Aunt May. There is a scene where she talks to Peter about his parents that is just amazing.

I was worried that the movie was going to be too loaded with villains but after seeing it they pulled off the multiple villains thing very well. Electro is truly the main villain and Jamie Foxx plays him well. His whole character arc is quite sad until he turns completely evil. And Dane DeHaan plays a unique version of Harry Osborn quite unlike the version played by James Franco. And Paul Giamatti is pretty cool in the few minutes of screen time he is given.

I truly had a blast watching this movie. As a Spider-Fan i have long awaited him to have a movie this great, although I still love Sam Raimi's as well. This may not be as perfect a super-hero movie as say the Avengers, but it is an excellent addition to Spider-Man's filmed adventures. Five Stars.

I've added alink to the film's content advisory page here. and a link to the film's website here.

Go check this movie out it truly is Amazing. Peace Out.
