Let's start by saying that South Philly Cheesesteaks & Subs in Westminster on Wadsworth, used to be a great place for a delicious steak sandwich, but has gone downhill swiftly! Serving stale bread and disgustingly soggy french fries is not how it's done.
Not sure what has happened, whether a change in management or employees that just don't care? Well, truth be told, when walking into the place, the employees couldn't seem to care any less about anything. Until this place improves, avoid at all costs. Over the past couple years, this was a place to go regularly for lunch and enjoy some good eats. It was known by many as THE place to go for a cheese steak, but not anymore. The past 3 visits, yes they were given 3 chances to redeem themselves, we were served STALE bread, the steak was dry and the french fries were soaked to the core in grease and cold, like they had been sitting for hours. Went to complain during the last visit and couldn't find an employee and just walked out.
Again, not really sure what has happened and how they strayed so far from what made them great. If they could get back to their old ways, show some pride in their food, then maybe they can get back to the glory days. But for now, they get 1 star and the search begins for a real steak and cheese!
