Douglas Glenn Clark, author of "The Lake That Stole Children" had this to say about Los Angeles teen therapist--Sandra Dupont's newest book:
"Sandra Dupont’s new “journaling workbook” is an excellent companion to her book What Would Your Teen Life Coach Say? A Survival Guide For Girls Entering High School. The colorful, beautifully designed guide invites teen girls to work through their feelings and concerns — but in an engaging, even playful way. In fact, work never seemed so fun.
What Would Your Teen Therapist Say? A Workbook for Discovering Your True Expression, the title of this 122-page volume, helps teen girls with the most challenging aspects of being young — sorting through emotions, choices, mistakes and ideals. Whereas Dupont’s first book uses a Q & A format to share insights, the workbook asks a lot of questions. In doing so, the teen therapist encourages the reader to look within and begin to define personality, grievances and goals. It also acknowledges the bumpy road of adolescence and asks girls to give thanks for the magnificent journey.
The structure of Dupont’s workbook alternates between a page that defines a topic or area of concern, and a nearly empty page (with quotes and simple questions) to be filled in. There is plenty of room for self-expression, which is the core purpose of the workbook. Simply opening these pages inspires creativity and thoughtfulness.
Dupont’s work on behalf of teen girls should also be of interest to parents. Both books invite involvement, communication and repeated visits to the wisdom and help contained within."
