Rick Santoro (Nicolas Cage) is at a boxing match. His old classmate Lincoln Tyler (Stan Shaw) is in the ring tonight. His old friend Commander Kevin Dunne (Gary Sinise) is the one who has invited him. Now Rick has bet heavily on the match. As a Atlantic City police detective he knows many of the people in the house. He's loud and he walks around like he owns the place. By the end of the evening he will be lucky to get out of the place alive.
The scene is set, the characters are all in their places when Julia Costello (Carla Gugino) approaches the Secretary with an envelope. Inside of the envelope are pictures of missile tests. These are the real pics of the actual tests. The ones being sent to Congress are fakes. What we have here is conspiracy and espionage at it's best. I could go on and tell you what happens but that would give away all the subplots.
Director Brian De Palma brings us a great movie with twists and turns that sometimes you can see it coming and at others you are just stunned. This is a great movie to watch with some popcorn and a snowshower or a little rain falling down outside. So get out all your spoof theories and sit back and enjoy this one.
