I am back with another review. This product I have recently started using and I am pretty happy with it. I am not big on primers because the ones I have tried usually dry out my skin or doesn't seem to make my make up last at all. I pretty much thought they were useless and stuck to my tinted moisturizers, BUT Smashbox has completely changed my mind!
The Photo Finish Foundation Primer Light is a light-weight, water based primer. It is oil free so it is great for oily skin; it is also good for acne-prone and sensitive skin types. It smoothes the surface of your skin by absorbing the oils, creating a clean canvas for your make-up.
What I absolutely love about this product is that it is more of a lotion consistency rather than a gel [like most primers I have tested]. I find that the gel like primers, no matter what skin type for, do not do much for my skin. I also notice that my make-up still becomes blotchy by the end of the day; NOT a good look! This creamy formula keeps my foundation in place, absorbs oils and doesn't dry out my face at all. It also has light diffusers that minimize the appearance of imperfections on skin.
I take no more than a dime size and massage it into my face, focusing on my t-zone since that is where I am most oily. I will definitely recommend this product to any one of my customers looking to invest in a good quality primer. The price is about $49 retail and $29 at a discount outlet.
