Skin Two Sexual Sideshow was a wild night under the big top. On September 11, circus performers and freak show acts came to perform and enjoy the latex fetish night hosted by Secretroom.
For the first time in my history of Atlanta clubbing, I arrived at the Jungle at doors' opening--actually, before doors' opening. There was already a line of people dressed in latex, fetishwear, and circus inspired costumes, eager to get in and begin partying at Atlanta's biggest fetish event of the year. I overheard several people in line talking about how they hadn't been to a club in several years, but that they made it out especially to attend this year's Skin Two USA.
Once inside, I noticed that the club quickly began to fill up. By midnight, the place was packed. I saw several new faces, and witnessed many old acquaintances being reunited, which is always nice to see. I understand that people's lives change, and we can't always party forever. But wouldn't it be great if that was indeed the case?
Maybe it was all of the amazing, circus-themed performances this year that brought all of these people, both the fresh faces and the old school clubbers, out of the house. Multiple performances by Rubberdoll, were amazing, like always. (In one performance, she had her way with a confetti cannon until it exploded, making for a dramatic ending.) Shibari experts Master Dvnt and slave mara moon demonstrated their command for ropes bondage and drama, not to mention that slave mara moon makes the cutest helpless little clown!
Twisted Trystan and Krystan provided the freak show side of the event, performing tricks from sword swallowing and balloon swallowing the long balloons that are used to make balloon animals, to nailing sharp objects into their heads. Hot Toddies Flaming Cabaret set the night on fire with their fire and dancing acts, while the latex fashion show by Goddess Shea and Rubberf*cker was stylish and sexy.
Whatever it was that got everyone out to this one event, it was a great night. Everyone looked amazing in their costumes and latex; I know that I personally enjoying wearing my latex outfit provided by Liberator Latex Couture. I truly hope that there are more latex events in the future.
