Some steak houses suggest you wear a tie so they can cut it off, but does that make the steak taste any better? Other steak houses say they specialize in one cut leaving no variety. Welcome to Silver Saddle Steak House where they will not cut off any of your wardrobe or promise you a special cut of meat. What you get is fresh cuts of meat and friendly service.

The Silver Saddle Steak house located in Tucson Arizona is a family run business that offers top quality food at a top quality price. The steak house will be celebrating 30 years come March of 2014. Owner Ruben and Jan Alva are proud of this iconic steak house and more excited to be celebrating so many years feeding Tucsonans.

About five years ago, their two sons Orlando and Mario got more involved with the family business and now spend most of their time running it. Orlando Alva says, "We grew up here and learned the ropes and learned all about the family business." This clearly shows by the way the two brothers handle their guests, the grill and the staff. Orlando says he and his brother make a great team and work well together.

What else shows so clearly is how flavorful their meat is. That is because their meat is cut fresh daily, and they control the aging process. They have a butcher right on site. Their beans are good, and soups are made fresh daily. The French onion soup is divine. Their salad bar is small, but maintained with fresh veggies, coleslaw, crab salad and chilled plates. Each meal comes with one trip to the salad bar and one trip is all you need!

This family run business gives to the Tucson economy by employing about 40 people and treats their staff like family. Orlando says, "We try to maintain a family atmosphere from the way we treat our staff to the way we treat our customers and we take pride in that." In fact, he says they take pride in everything they do because they want to make sure people enjoy their experience at the Silver Saddle Steak House.

The Tucson Business Examiner salutes the Silver Saddle Steak house. If you are in the Tucson area and you want the best prime rib or BBQ chicken, head out to the Silver Saddle. The building is not so pretty, and the inside decor is nothing to brag about, however, you can count on great food, the best BBQ sauce in town and to be treated like family. It just doesn't get better than this.
