Shrine Circus brings Broadway to Austin (Photos)

The Shrine Circus returns to the Cedar Park Center from Jan 18-21, 2013 for four days of broadway-themed acts. If you've seen the circus more times than you can count, you'll enjoy this year’s new theme. It includes an original new score, bright new costumes, and of course thrilling new feats never previously attempted in the United States. Modern day hits by Taylor Swift, LMAFO, MC Hammer, Selena Gomez, and PSY seem to give Shrine a modern twist and kept the crowd dancing in their seats. Adults and children will delight seeing the elephants dance to PSY's "Gangnam Style" and acrobatics performed to the hits "We No Speak Americano" and LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem".

Making the circus interactive is key to Shrine Circus' success and a unique opportunity for children to engage with and ride on elephants and camels, meet the performers, take some pictures, and purchase some memorabilia. The 2013 Shrine Circus is an amped up version of the Shrine Circus acts you have grown to love and depend on. You'll adore the beautiful Bengal cats, dancing pachyderms, amazing canine agility, daring motocross madness, and the always lovable Johnny Clown.

Closing the show is someone you may recognize from America's Got Talent. The human cannonball, David "the Bullet" Smith Jr., gained national recognition on the show and is currently a crowd favorite on the Shrine Circus tour. With 11 years experience and over 5000 cannon shots under his belt, David is a great addition to the Ben Hur Shrine Circus tour.
