For the shoe-loving fashionista fall means it’s boot season. And every shoe-loving gal knows that not all boots are created equal. Boots can be overpriced, incredibly uncomfortable to walk in, make your legs look unflattering and literally fall apart at the seams. But it’s difficult to determine if those boots you’ve had your eye on will live up to your expectations until you’ve (literally) walked a mile in them.
After having walked the proverbial mile in Naturalizer’s Lamont boot over the past couple weeks, here are my initial conclusions as far as quality, comfort and style.
You know the old adage “you get what you pay for?” With Naturalizer’s Lamont boot you get real leather, a comfortable, cushioning insole with a no-slip outsole so you can stride confidently - all in a timeless, fashionable boot. After weeks of tooling around town the Lamont boots show no signs of stopping.
The Lamont boot is very comfortable and easy to walk in (read: absence of awkward, bumbly steps). At just shy of 3”, the heel height is flirty yet practical. The boot is also easy to put on which is ideal for when you’re in a hurry but need to look fabulous before rushing off to (insert event here).
The Lamont boot is chic and feminine with a timeless, professional appearance capable of taking you from work day professional to casual evening outings. The boot is easily paired with skinny jeans or skirts. The boot might be too Plain Jane for those looking for some, but overall the Lamont is a classic boot that is likely to be a wardrobe staple this fall and next.
And the slouchy shaft is forgiving for those of us who don’t have “one size fit all calves.”
