Hidden beauty is something that only comes out ever so often. Shelter Island, New York is where this beauty finds a place. Harald Olson is an artist. He was considered an outsider when he first came to this quaint little place. He was an artist with no where to show his art. He would first show his art along side the road laying against a fence. It was here that Jimmy Olinkiewicz would have an idea.
Jimmy was riding high at one time and would buy buildings with the hope of doing things with them. Jimmy bought an old gas station with the hopes of putting his autistic son Alex to working in it. Jimmy's life took a downturn when his wife left and he thought he might lose money on the property.
Jimmy had seen the art and wanted to put some of it in the gas station. little by little there was enough to open a small portion of the building dedicated to Harald's art work . The two men began to work hand in hand and one day artist David Rankin took notice. He mentioned that they should open up Harald's art to a wider audience. Jimmy was able to get friends together and between them they were to show the work of Harald Olson in the Chelsea art gallery in Manhattan New, York.
