"She Rides" by Elle Laudan is full of intrigue and excitement

Elle Laudan, Canadian novelist, has brought her knowledge of riding and the motorcycle subculture to life in this fast paced, thrilling erotic romance novel, She Rides.  It's like a Harlequin Romance book on steroids, and is full of intrigue, excitement and hot, steamy sex scenes!

The plot follows the life of Missy, whose mother died giving birth to her.   She was consequently raised by her biker father, Pops, and his friends, Jag, Ziggy, Sam, Big Red, and an eclectic group of burley, tattooed men who all rode motorcycles and hung together at the House, a sort of defacto motorcycle club.  After Pops, was killed in a senseless motorcycle accident, by an inattentive driver, Missy took off on an adventure of her own, leaving the small town she grew up in and the only life she knew.  Laden with grief and heartbroken, she left behind the only family she ever knew, and rode her 1941 Indian Chief motorcycle with a 74 ci engine, named Lady, across the country.  She encountered some lively characters along the way, including the seductive Russian tattoo artist, Nadia, who she had an unexpected and satisfying sexual interlude with.

Moving along and with no destination in mind, she found herself in the quaint town of Waverly during bike week, and found a strong desire for and undeniable sexual attraction to Tommy, a "bad boy" Harley rider.  Winter was coming, and she was offered the opportunity to house sit for a couple who she had just met and decided it was the best offer she would get.  In Waverly, she was introduced to Pappy, who became a dominate figure in her life.

The next twenty years of Missy's life would be spent in Waverly, but it would not be without strife and heartaches.  The story takes some rapid twists and turns as the  Whiskey Monsters Motorcycle Club enters the plot and things get heated up in both her home town of Morrisburg and Waverly.  Alcohol, murder, mayhem, rape, incest, revenge, and lust are all part of the story line;  readers will be enthralled, yet helpless to do anything but continue to soak up the story as this page turner unfolds.

The book is definitely adult reading and is very sexually graphic at times, but it is also a great read.  Elle Laudan has done a fantastic job at portraying the motorcycle lifestyle and deep family committments associated with it through her fictional characters.  Readers will come to love Missy and her gang and at book's end, will be left wanting more.

Buy the book on Amazon or at  Passion in Print Press.  It is available in soft cover for about $11.69 and Kindle editions for just $6.99.  One dollar from every PRINT copy or eBook copy of She Rides sold, will go to WWRR (Women Who Ride Rock) Conga Ride/Fundraiser for Breast Cancer Research.

Shreveport is a bustling community with the movie industry making its impact here, and the riding community is as strong as anywhere.  Support this rider/author to the north and just maybe Lauden will be collaborating with movie producers in our area.  To communicate with Lauden and other lady riders like her, log on to facebook and join the group "Women Who Ride Rock".  I'm there every day as are many Shreveport lady riders.
