The Ritz show was a small, intimate one but their first set found the small crowd enthusiastically welcoming them as they rocked through their brand of indie rock that harkens back to the classic rock era.
Today, the band wrapped up the first leg of their current tour with a set at Rockapalooza in Jackson.
Lead singer Andrew Corkery and lead guitarist Dan Holden started the band six years ago and slowly helped build them into the lively act they are today.
Along with Corkery and Holden are John Sellers on bass, guitarist Ed Flynn and drummer Kyle Duckworth.
Shadowplay will now be taking the next few months off as Corkery heads to London to work on some television productions and then the band will be working on music for their next album before heading back out on tour in the new year.
